Acai Bowl Snap-Peas Style

The Snap-Peas style of an Acai Bowl has no added sugar and a bit of protein powder. We love the cool, refreshing, fruity goodness of the Acai Bowls in the summer, and instead of the traditional serving at breakfast - it's dinner at our house. At the end of a hot summer day, I love any dinner plan that allows me to skip standing over a hot stove. Salads and grilled foods will always reign supreme in the summer, but Acai adds a nice change from our norm.

Most recipes will begin with the frozen Acai packets. Well....in lil' ol' Staunton - you aren't going to find such wild and crazy ingredients. You will find the bottled juice in the produce section, though. You have two choices: "sugar added" - shown above- or Hubby's sweeter bowl.  I prefer the "No Sugar Added" option. Why do you need sugar with all the yummy fruit? My darker, richer color tastes just as good as bowl is here.
