Decorating Planner
I've had a decorating planner for as long as I can remember....for some unfathomable reason, I decided it needed a facelift. Perhaps it's the endless supply of cute planners, dividers, and stickers on the market..combined with my inability to resist. It was not a lack of more important things to do...but with an extra three days this tax season...why not finish a decorating binder? Because we just finished giving the entire house a facelift...this pressing need MAY fall into the category of tax procrastination.
I made a divider for each room with an enlarged photo. I didn't worry about getting the perfect shot with the perfect lighting—it's just for me when I redecorate in another 15 years, LOL. Fast-forward: I’m in the process of transferring from WordPress to Squarespace and realize my planner needs an overhaul as all the rooms have changed.
I grabbed a gazillion paint chip cards...in case they all fell out of my planner on the shelf. I selected this binder because it had plastic zip-lock pouches to hold fabric samples. It's perfect because now and then, I decide the room needs another pillow sham or something to match, and now I have the fabric, name, and where I bought it.
I always make boards with the room's wall color for the background and samples of the fabrics to keep on a bulletin board while we work on a project; now, they have a new home in my planner.
I then used my new laminator to ensure they would withstand the wear and tear of being in a binder on my shelf. I punched holes with my new hole punch, which is specially made for my planner, which has seven holes.
