Frank’s Mill House

Our home was built in 1798 by George and Obedience Hanger. The Mill adjacent to the house was built two years later. The property was sold to the Shuterlees and then to the Franks in 1900. The mill was operational until the mid-70s. It is still known as Frank's Mill. The early photo is from the 1950s and was given to us by the Frank family.

The house was used as a school for 10 years before our purchase/rescue. It was in a horrid state of disrepair. A realtor gave me a Homes magazine; for some reason, this pitiful picture intrigued me.

Frank's Mill is on the other side of the driveway.

Hubby and the sons painted the house sage green around 2000, shown below. Currently the house is being painted, I can’t wait to share the update at the completion,
